Start with some squares
So many fun ways to set squares in a quilt! A little sashing can set off sections.
A border print on either end adds something special to this squares quilt.
Great big novelty squares make a fun quilt.
Subtle pastel flowers on baby flannel make a snuggly quilt.

Teen quilt
What teenager doesn't dream of getting a driver's license? Judy G made this cozy license plate flannel quilt with a teen in mind.
Here's a closeup of the backing fabric, which also is used on the borders. Click on the photo to more easily read the clever sayings on the license plates.
If you have some child- or teen-friendly fabric at home, why not make a Linus quilt with it? The pattern does not have to be complicated, but the finished quilt will be very much appreciated!

Baby quilts
Sue K did it again! She took all the unclaimed fleece after last night's guild meeting (and due to a wonderful response on the part of other guild members, only 4 pieces were left!) and serged the edges to make more preemie blankets. Thanks again, Sue.
Joyce C made this cozy flannel baby quilt from a committee kit. She has been working on it at Sew Sassy work nights. If you're thinking about making a Linus quilt, that's a great way to do it. Just show up and we'll provide a kit for you to work on there. Joyce took her kit from start to finish, but you can just work one night and let someone else finish it if you prefer. This quilt looks really cute, Joyce -- thanks so much!
Mary M quilted this strip quilt put together from a Linus kit. (Sorry, I don't know who pieced the top.) Thank you, Mary. It's always wonderful when someone volunteers to take on the quilting!

Flannel Quilts for Baby
We usually have a backlog of quilts that have been pieced but need quilting. Many thanks to Dixie, who took two baby quilts to finish. This first bright pink one has a combination of machine quilting along the seams with tacking in the center section. It came out great!

Dixie tacked this whole quilt in the corners of each block. This quilt is another example of stretching our creativity when we don't have enough of each fabric. It looks like we meant the design to be this way all along!
